Punicic acid (PuA) is a conjugated linolenic acid (C18:3Δ9c,11t,13c) with a wide range of nutraceutic effects with the potential to reduce the incidence of a number of health disorders including diabetes, obesity, and cancer. It is the main component of seed oil from Punica granatum and Trichosanthes kirilowii.
