The Vasoactive intestinal polypeptide receptor 2 (VPAC2) is a Gs-coupled receptor expressed in the stroma of uterus and prostate; smooth muscles in gastrointestinal tract, seminal vesicles and skin; blood vessels; thymus. VPAC2 is an essential regulator of the circadian pacemaker of the hypothalamic suprachiasmatic nuclei.

Product Description Recombinant CHO-K1 cells stably overexpress human vasoactive intestinal peptide receptor 2 (VPAC2) and luciferase gene which can be translated under the control of cAMP response element (CRE). This product contains high levels of G protein Gαs to couple with the VPAC2 receptor in downstream signaling pathway (cAMP/PKA).
Culture Properties Adherent.
Stability Stability: Stable through more than 16 passages with no significant changes in assay performance or expression profile.
Size Two vials of frozen cells (>1×106 per vial in 1 mL)
Storage Store cells in liquid nitrogen immediately upon receipt. Thaw and recover cells within one year from the date received.

Figure 1. VIP-induced luciferase expression in CHO-K1/CRE-Luc/VPAC2 cells. After stimulation by VIP for 6 hours, the cells are determined with Fire-Lumi™ Luciferase Assay System (Cat. No. L00877C-100, Genscript) and the relative luminescence units (RLU) were recorded by plate reader (Pherastar, BMG). The RLU were plotted against the log of the cumulative doses of VIP (Mean ± SEM, n = 3). The EC50 of VIP on cells was 0.50 nM.
